Kokoro Reflections is back with a unique MV/MZ-sized pack that’s meant to be used with other tiles. Instead of having to replace an entire tileset style to show damage, create your own ruined villages with this pack!
Overlays offer a lot of ways to damage and destroy a previously peaceful house. Remove the roof of a building and top its walls with broken stone, and stream trash and broken planks of wood around it to show where parts of the building ended up. Coat walls with smudges of dark grime and growing moss, or cover them with graffiti from the local hooligans.
Want to show that the town was recently destroyed? Then drop splatters of blood all over the town square and leave a few skeletons tucked away in corners where NPCs thought they could safely hide. Need to show that it’s been more than a decade since someone entered a cursed village? Let plants and nature grow freely from holes in walls and have vines hanging between houses.
This pack also includes 3 character sprites of fire (with small, medium, and large flames) to block off areas from your players and to show that there’s really no way to save everyone in the town after a bandit raid!
Pick up the KR Ruins Kit and show your players just how much the village’s in your game can change depending on the players’ choices!
* NOTE: This product is designed to work with tilesets in a “painted” rather than “pixelated” style, such as RPG Maker’s default tiles. If you’re using a strict 8-bit or 16-bit style, this product will probably not work very well with it. You'll need to supply your own tileset, these are only for overlay purposes!
Contents:
* Dirt, crack and grunge overlays.
* Overlays for wall autotiles…just copy and paste on your existing walls in a graphics editor to age them!
* Two styles of fog
* Extra grass and weed autotiles
* Lots of overgrowth and plants. Includes large monstera plants that lend a slightly jungle look.
* Vines you can drape all over the place. They come in several angles so you can decorate corners, etc.
* Holes. Tons of holes, big and small. Round, angled, corners, some with rocks, some without rocks, some with weeds growing out of them. They fit tons of situations. And if those aren't big enough, check out the extra large holes with darkness or pools of water/lava at the bottom.
* Smoke and dirt damage. These tiles snug into corners or run along ceiling lines, giving extra depth and the appearance of a fire in the past.
* Many different styles of cracks. Instantly damage corners and even break out windows.
* Spiderwebs
* Dark splatters
* Blood splatters
* Graffiti
* Bones, skulls, and even giant bones and skulls
* Special upper wall and corner tiles make it easy to give the impression of broken stone. Just layer them on top of your existing walls. They automatically add shade and cracks to the underlying tile, aging it with no extra work.
* Create broken stucco or damaged paint with additional edges for your existing walls.
Events and Animations
* Is your town in the midst of attack? Three sets of fire animations might help. They come in small, medium and large animations, each with four styles.
* But you can’t have fire without smoke, so that’s included too, in four styles, plus heavier and thinner versions of the smoke.
* Drip animation
* Scurrying rats (multiple colors)
* Mouse holes with glowing eyes
